My journey into Scaravelli Inspired Yoga began at the age of 25 when I started training with my teacher, Marilyn Freedman, at the Wheel of Life Centre in Malvern. Marilyn had studied directly with Vanda Scaravelli herself, as well as with Vanda’s student Sandra Sabatini. From the moment I met Marilyn, I knew I had found a truly remarkable guide. Vanda Scaravelli, who studied one-on-one with B.K.S. Iyengar, beautifully blended classical yoga principles with a unique focus on the breath and a deeply meditative, nurturing approach to self-connection and inner peace.
I trained for 11 years attending weekly with Marilyn in Malvern, then continued my studies at Morley College in London with Marilyn Freedman and Isabella Jordan, completing two comprehensive two-year yoga teacher training programs. In 2003, I began teaching in local village halls across Herefordshire and Wales, sharing this transformative practice with all age groups, from young people to those in their 90s. My teaching journey has expanded to include yoga for pregnant mothers, parent-and-baby classes, and specialized sessions addressing a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with individuals managing high blood pressure, stroke recovery, stress, insomnia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, and more. I’m especially passionate about building a sense of community within my yoga sessions—often sharing tea and conversation before each class.
My intention is to bring this holistic approach to health and well-being into people’s daily lives, helping them cultivate a joyful, balanced, and healthy lifestyle.
In my classes, I strive to offer a safe, welcoming space where you can reconnect with yourself, embrace the present moment, and foster a happier, healthier you.
